The other production I was able to design for as a class assignment was "James and the Giant Peach".  For this show I wanted there to be two distinct worlds, the real and imaginary.  The aunts, who are part of the real world, and are dressed in black, white, and grays, while the bugs, who are part of the imaginary world, are in an array of colors.  James being the middle between the two is in gray and white with splashes of color to show his cross between both realms.

When figuring out each of the bugs, I found that each personality and style would best be represented by a different decade and color palette.
